CTC 440 - Homework 9 (Typical Sections)

Create two typical section drawings (using a CAD program) for your lab project.  This will be a team effort.

·        The first typical section should be a schematic of the existing and proposed pavement for public review at a public hearing. (8-1/2” by 11”)

·        The second typical section should be a final design typical section to be included in a set of construction plans.  (11 x 17 but can print on 8-1/2 by 11)  Refer to Chapter 3 of the Highway Design Manual for examples. 

Each person of the team should do a CAD drawing.  Put your initials or name on the lower right of the drawing.

On Monday during lab we’ll do a show-and-tell of your drawings.  The class will vote on the best “public-typical section” and the best “plan-typical section”.
