CTC 440 - Homework 10 (Cross Sections)

1.     Using the 11x17 drawings handed out for the superelevation homework, plot cross sections (50' left and right) at a scale of 1"=5' (both horizontal and vertical) for Stations 18+50 and 20+50. The cross sections should show the original ground elevations (dashed line) and final grade elevations (solid line).

2.     Assuming the figures (handed out in class) are at a scale of 1"=5', compute the cut areas at each station using the stripping method. Use the average end area method to compute the total volume (cy) between Sta C7+50 and Sta C8+50.
