CTC 450 - Homework 6

How velocity/flow/depth varies w/ time as tank empties 

 

1.      Rework the calculus example found on the lecture 6 powerpoint except change the initial height to 3 meters and the final height to 0 meters.

 

2.      Rework the problem using Microsoft excel.  Graph outgoing velocity, flow rate (Q) and tank depth w/ respect to time.   What delta t gives you the exact same answer as the problem worked in calculus (problem 1).

 

3.      Drop off your calculus example and excel file (excel format---not PDF) in Brightspace.   Be sure to also include the graphs (see #2)
