475 - Project 4 (Retirement Spreadsheet)
Use the economic principles you have learned to develop a retirement
worksheet. Using the worksheet handed out in class create an excel retirement
spreadsheet that includes the following components:
- Identify the factors
(example: find P given F) of Tables 1, 2 and 3. In your spreadsheet get rid of the
tables by using equations.
- Fill out the worksheet for a
typical graduate of our program (no names please):
- Start working at age
25; no spouse
- Retire at 65; years in
retirement-30 years
- Starting salary:
research
- Projected annual
social security and pension:
research
- Simplify the
spreadsheet by deleting step 5 (home equity).
- Drop off the retirement
spreadsheet (excel format) in blackboard.
- Compare and critique this
worksheet to a retirement program that can be found on the internet. Drop off the one page comparison via
blackboard.
